I remember switching a fancy calculator to binary
mode when I was a kid and watching it count up
from zero in fascination.

I'm curious: are you trying to do math using binary
numbers or something?  That would give me some
difficulty.  I'd probably cheat by converting to decimal
to do the operation and then converting back to binary.
