[ale] FC3/Xorg Monitor question

I think the first step is to see if the correct graphics drivers are
being loaded (Not sure on how to do that on FC).

I have an FC3 system -- long overdue for upgrade, I know -- on which I
want use a Samsung LCD monitor with a native resolution of 1440x900.
This does not seem to be one of the choices in my configuration, or at
least not from the GUI to control display settings: even selecting the
monitor as "Generic LCD 1440x900" does not offer that resolution.

How can I configure my 'Xorg' X-Windows to support the monitor's native
1440x900 resolution?
