[ale] 2nd try. First never made it. Looking for a simple method to generate Spanish language characters.

Either press RAlt while typing them, or follow them with a single space.
I do the latter; after a week or two of typing on that layout, you'll be
quite used to it.  It's a small price to pay, to gain a great deal of
possible characters on the keyboard.  :-)
