You can use the us-intl keyboard layout. It lets you type just about
every accent from most languages that use the roman alphabet.
I use us-intl as my normal layout, because once you get used to it, you
can type English words more properly, too, and I have always been
annoyed at ASCIIizations of things to make them more convenient.
R?sum?, as an example. :-)
Anyway, the international layout makes the ', ", `, ~, and ^ keys
"dead". You can then press them, followed by a (supported) letter, and
you get the proper combination. For example:
'+e = ?
^+e = ?
~+n = ?
You also get another "layer" of keys. Right-Alt will get them to you,
for example:
<RightAlt>+, = ?
<RightAlt>+; = ?
<RightAlt>+: = ?
Hope this helps.
