[ale] sed

Hi,

I have a Perl problem.

$email = xyx at abc.net

-e 's/laplace/$email/'

sed will not completely replace "laplace" with the value in $email
because everything is lost starting with the "@" and ending with the "c".

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks.
