One thing to consider is that part of education is to learn how to
solve problems.   Nothing in that suggests that you have to hold all
possible knowledge to solve every problem, just that you have the
capabilities to discover the necessary knowledge to successfully solve
the problem.  In today's (and the past decade's) world, discovery
could very easily be done via email and the web, instead of text books
and CS classes.
