Courtney, AT&T's new 3G service is rated at 3.6mbits/sec, Verizon and
Sprint's evdo is rated at 700kps but average speeds routinely exceed 256kps.
I have not personally got a chance to play with the AT&T solution yet, but
it has been revewed by CNET and a few others and they reported getting the
advertised speed however all tests were done in major city centers of
AT&T(fmr cingular) markets.
Prices for all of the above services vary. Like all things from AT&T there
really is not ONE price for their offering, the EVDO offerings all seem to
hover between 39 and 49 a month depending on what sale sprint or verizon is
running at this moment.
Good luck.
