heh, i even have one of those "Teach Yourself Emacs in 24 Hours" books 
(sandwiched between two copies of Real World Linux Security).  after a 
while i realized that i didn't really need it for what little editing i do.

the majority is covered by GEdit (using plugins), Nano, or similar.
