[ale] issue with fonts, Fedora 8, Solaris application

Hello all,

I'm running into an X error when I ssh to a (work) solaris box and run
an app remotely.  I try to
open a window with some Motif graphics constructs and get this:

Error: XRT/table: XmFontListInitFontContext failed, bad fontList



Any pointers woudl be appreciated,
