[ale] Custom bootable CD or DVD

The Gentoo "minimal" liveCDs are good for reverse-engineering like this.  Out of the box, it doesn't start any services although some are there (esp. sshd) to be started by hand.  The footprint is tens of MB and the included kernel is pretty good about bringing everything up.
