I thank all of y'all for the reassurance & common sense. It still seems to be working, twelve hours on. Only had one plug from the original that I couldn't remember where it had gone, & only one plug on the replacement for which I couldn't find a destination. Now I just need to remember the changes I made elsewhere over the months that I was trying to solve the problem.
