[ale] problem with Linspire Internet Suite

hello,

The browser (Mozilla) hangs after displaying the window 
background and the window action buttons at the top (as 
close, resize) but before displaying the drop down menu 
bar.

I'm guessing a setup file has been corrupted - but what?
When connected I'm able to ping the ISP but not other IP 
addresses.

Any troubleshooting help will be greatly appreciated.
