Actually serial is our business and I do have equipment there to do
that.  However the user was savvy enough to send me picture of monitor.
He ran to store bought new memory and we ran test again.  Problem fixed.
Memory most likely bad.

Once we brought the system back up within 5 minutes I had it back
monitoring devices and the slave that became the master today went back
to becoming the slave.  MySQL replication.  Master in CoCo Beach FL.
Slave in Snellville GA.
