to get a little more "precise" try:
"apple leopard",fedora,ubuntu,"microsoft vista"

such as:
http://www.google.com/trends?q=%22apple+leopard%22%2Cfedora%2Cubuntu%2C%22microsoft+vista%22

this way it is only looking for M$ Vista and Apple's "leopard"...
