I do like to have the actual OS media, to reinstall or do with as I wish. I
think it should be a violation NOT to get the OS CD with a computer, but
that's just me:)
when I priced the new Dell computers, they wanted $10 for the OS CD. That I
can live with. Now that I know I can still get to the rescue partition, even
without the OS CD, I might not worry, but if I decided to format the entire
drive Kubuntu, and I wanted to give my XP license to someone else, that
wouldn't be very easy. With Linux, it is a no brainer.
