[ale] kontact crashes

ok, I can run kmail by itself, and I can run agregator by itself, but kontact 
crashes with a sigsev 11, and when I run it from the command line I get this:
> kontact
KCrash: Application 'kontact' crashing...
ERROR: Communication problem with kontact, it probably crashed.


what can I do? I tried deleting the kontactrc file, but that didn't help.

SUSE 10.2 and KDE 3.5.6
