[ale] SuSE-10.1 and ZMD 'Nag' Screen

Every time a user logs in to my SuSE-10.1 box, he/she is presented after a
few seconds with a splash panel warning:
   "ZMD doesn't appear to be running."

1. Do I care? (I.e, should I add 'novell-zmd' to my startup scripts?)
2. How can I turn off the *&^%$!! warning on _every_ login?

This box will be strictly a simple workstation for an "ordinary" user.
