[ale] Email encoding/decoding

Hi ALE:

Sometimes I see an email (on this list too) that appears to
be base64 encoded but there's no filename associated with its
mime-headers/separators and there's no plaintext at all.

What kind of email client and/or settings is producing that &
how can I decode such messages?
