[ale] Host sound device in vmware

Does anyone know how to modify the vmware config file to use /dev/dsp1
on the host? I've got a USB sound device that works and I want vmware to
use it.  I'm tired of the /dev/dsp error messages that it is always busy
because of usage by gaim, firefox, etc.
