No, version 7.1 of the freeware edition dies. All this means is that
users must upgrade to 7.5 freeware. For the record, AVG also has a
freeware antispyware product.

My personal recommendation is to create two partitions, one for the OS
and programs, and one for their data. Install XP SP2 and all the
software they'll need, set up My Documents to point to the data
partition, install Deep Freeze ($30), freeze the OS partition, and leave
the data partition as a thawspace. Every time the computer is restarted
the software will revert to its initial clean state. You can use the
scheduled maintenance feature to have Deep Freeze periodically unthaw
the OS and install software updates.
