My brother, who works for the DOJ in D.C. has a mostly "hate"
relationship with pdf files for one reason:  size.  A legal brief
is _much_ larger as a pdf file than as a word processor file. I
suspect the same is true for graphic files, regardless of type.

So the only down side I know of is storage space.  You will need a
lot of it.  More than you think.
