[ale] Thunderbird vs Evolution

I'm running Xubuntu live on my laptop and will be installing it.  I know 
that I can use apt-get to retrieve evoltution but is there any reason 
to?  I only use IMAP and Thunderbird seems to work well with the little 
testing I've am doing today.
