[ale] smartd temperatures

Anyone know a thing or two about smartd's temperature log entries?  I've 
recently installed smartd on a server and I am now periodically seeing 
entries like this:

Device: /dev/hda, SMART Usage Attribute: 194 Temperature_Celsius
      changed from 93 [Raw 50] to 92 [Raw 51]

Is the drive celsius temp 92 degrees or 51 degrees, and why does a raw 
value of 50 equal 93, but a raw value of 51 equates to 92?
