Well...I was simultaneously reading this thread and trying to figure out
why I could not get my Poweredge 4400 to boot. Kernel panics have been
plaguing me off and on for 2 weeks (have not had a lot of time to devote
to it...just every now and then). At first, it was LVM as root
partition. Scratched that and still got kernel panics. I figured it
was something to do with the unfamiliar RAID controller. Nothing
obvious. So I think today...let me check all the "d0h" things that
should be automatic by now. What did I discover? Reiserfs built as a
module. Root FS is ...? Reiser. Go me....
