Hmm, shows both stupidity and intelligence: I need to remove a directory on one of our DNS/DHCP boxes. I did... rm -rf * without consulting pwd first. That's the stupidity. I quickly CTRL-C'd and used the other box (an exact copy of this machine) to quickly bring it right back online again. Always have a backup plan... bnm
