A Gentoo LiveCD will have memtest86 on it for getting transfer rate
numbers for the RAM. The same CD will have hdparm, but that's probably
not what you want; you'd have to install enough to get bonnie++ emerged
to be able to test disk performance. Not sure about CPU.
