Speaking of VAX, VMS had this command called "STOP PROCESS" that could
be used to log off someone else from their terminal session.  The trick
was twofold: you had to know the user's password (not hard to do in the
pre-cracklib days), and you had to make sure the user wasn't trying to
edit a file or do something else that needed saving.
