[ale] flash drives

I have two flash drives.  One is a PNY 1 GB.  It mounts  under Win98se, WinXP, 
and Slackware 10.2 and 11.0.

The second one is a MicroCenter 1 GB.  It mounts  under Win98se and WinXP, but  
not under Slackware 10.2 or 11.0 

Can anyone  point me in the proper direction?
