[ale] Linspire 5.0 Internet Connection

Problem (mostly) solved.

Many Thanks to Jim, Brian, Chris, JK and Sean for help.

I read that changing resolv.conf is a no-no on this system.

But I changed the Kppp configuration from Automatic to Manual
and entered two DNS IP addresses.  Now ping works with names 
and the browser now finds locations by name just fine.

*** But, I'd still like to know how to make it work with
"Automatic". ***  Any more ideas?

Any Linspire users here who would like to share info?
