[ale] httpd probes

I keep getting probes for things that I don't have installed.  I'm 
guessing someone is trying to exploit a weakness in these things.  Is 
there any software that would sense, too many errors being generated and 
deny that IP address somehow?  I'd rather not have one of these probes 
find some new weakness, even though I don't have a lot of common 
software installed for it to find.

There are probes for things like phpgroupware, blog xmlprc.php, 
index.php index2.php, awstats, etc.
