[ale] Ubuntu Live

I've tested the Ubuntu Live CD and like it.  I want to use it when I do
not have access to a machine with Linux installed.  Has anyone got it to
use a USB stick as a home directory?  I want to run evolution but do not
want to configure each time I start up the CD.
