	i wouldn't consider a lifespan of only 3 years to be acceptable  for
any piece of hardware that i didn't plan to drop-kick on a regular basis.
	and i know that this is at least partly because i'm a student, and
don't have much income, but to me, a $400 expenditure doesn't constitute
a "budget project".
