Kurt Pfeifle has posted an insider's view of the train wreck between Apple and 
KDE developers over Apple's use of Konqueror's code base to create its own 
browser, Safari. There has been lots of misinformation in the press, because 
reporters love smackdowns. But I think this posting gives a good picture of 
what can go wrong when open source developers collaborate with those who work 
for a company.
