> anybody know how many CPU can CentOS 4.0 support? Its redhat counterpart "RHEL 4.0 ES" supports only 2. I'd assume it is restriction of RHEL license instead of 'feature lock' in the kernel, right?
Should be the same as the limits for RHEL (32 - 64, depending on
architecture)
The RHEL restriction is a licensing one only. If you're 4+, you have to
buy the more expensive support (AS) for updates. If you're 1-2, you can
buy ES or AS. It's not actively restricted though -- it's just licensing
terms.
