This is my first email to this group. I'm glad that ALE exists, and I
hope to find time to make it to a meeting soon.
In the meantime, there's a bug in the 2.6 kernel code which affects
me. Unfortunately I can only find it mentioned on one website:
<a rel="nofollow" href="http://www.misticriver.net/boards/showthread.php?p=6023#post6023">http://www.misticriver.net/boards/showthread.php?p=6023#post6023</a> and
the links there are not working. I've posted to that forum, but no
one has answered my post. My system is experiencing the symptoms
described in this post.
The question is, how can I figure out whether this patch has made it
into any of the Debian kernels? Once I figure that out, then I'll
figure out whether to attempt to recompile my kernel. I'm not one for
compiling things, and I'd rather not play around w/ the kernel, but
I'm willing, if need be.
Thank you for your help.
