The main thing I don't like about myspace is their builtin music player is not Linux friendly.

Myspace.com is probably as close as it gets to independent artists. Most new
artists are now getting their start on myspace.com. Whether it offers music
downloads or not, I'm not so sure. I just read in an article that artists
are putting up content, web sites that they brewed up, and getting hosted on
a myspace.com URL much like Geocities.
