[ale] backup apps

I have been setting up bacula to replace a pile of shell/perl scripts
for backing up my stuff.
If no one has ever used it, I can encourage the time to look at it. It
is very capable, can have backups that span multiple tapes, supports
many autochangers, and the big kicker: it can be used over a stunnel or
ssh tunnel to backup over the internet.
It is command-line/text console only.

The documentation is some of the best I've ever seen for something as
complicated as a full-featured backup system. (HP's OmniBack and Legato
Networker should be afraid!)
