Chris, Chris, Chris.... y'all is second-person plural. But it also
appears to be size limited in scope. "all y'all" clearly references two
or more distinct groups of people. Remember, the use of y'all requires a
look or head bob to identify the indicated group if there is more than
one present. If at a family reunion, "Y'all c'm'ere" usually refers to
only one side of the family. But when it's time to take the pi'tures,
it's "All y'all smile now" so that everyone knows they're included.

>From a purist stand point, the connotation that y'all is a contraction

of "you all" certainly implies the concept of an all-inclusive grouping.
Apparently, the act of forming the contraction narrows the scope to only
a selected subset of everyone present and within earshot.

I have heard the possessive of y'all is y'allses.
