[ale] Cat and Keyboard issues

I've been owned by several cats over the years, but this is the first time 
I've had one that sits/walks on the keyboard of a computer with 
regularity. I know that there is/was a program under Windows to detect 
"cat typing" and discard the keyboard's output until the animal moved on. 
Is anyone aware of such a beast for Linux/Unix? 

I did a quick Google, and only found out that I'm not the only one with 
the challenge.
