[ale] Bellsouth browser stupids

You can check with the Java Console to see what java errors might be 
generated too.  I think hangs on problem pages tend to be more 
javascript errors than anything else.  It's where people are lazy and 
script MSjava statements or something like that instead of standard 
java.  Just a thought...
