The only other thing I can think of is either hardware or interrupt
issues.  Your earlier email indicated you were using IRQ 22 <-- is that
correct?  Where did you glean that from?

If you are manually setting hardware IRQs, you may need to be passing
some module parameters to the alsa modules so that they can find the
hardware.
