My approach to this problem was to create a seperate account for the ALE
mailing list.
I then set up a filter to catch anything not coming from the ale list. This
has prevented spammers from getting anything to my inbox.
Of course I sometimes check what my filter has catched (I don't just delete
it. I make sure nothing important has been catched by mistake), and can see
various spam mails. But it's quick to delete them this way.
In the last week I received and caught only 61 spam mails!
Have a nice weekend,
Ren?
