Anyone out there built svn? I'm having all sorts of trouble building it.
Yesterday I built it fine. Today I needed to rebuild it to get Berkley DB
support and now I can't even get a makefile. (yes I tried 'make clean' first;
also tried untarring a clean distro). Configure doesn't seem to be able to
deal with db 4.4. Is this true?
Here is my configure command:
./configure --prefix=/opt/subversion-1.2.3 --with-apxs=/opt/apache/bin/apxs
--with-berkeley-db=/usr/local/BerkeleyDB.4.4
Here is the tail end of ./configure output:
checking for gdbm.h... no
... directory not foundB 4.3 in /usr/local/BerkeleyDB.4.4
... directory not foundB 4.2 in /usr/local/BerkeleyDB.4.4

... directory not foundB 4.0 in /usr/local/BerkeleyDB.4.4

... directory not foundB 2 in /usr/local/BerkeleyDB.4.4

... directory not foundB 1 in /usr/local/BerkeleyDB.4.4

configure: error: Berkeley DB not found.
configure failed for apr-util
What am I doing wrong?
(P.S I would have posted this to users at subversion but it won't even answer my
subscribe request!)
