Having now built several "mythtv" based video hermaphrodites, including 
one with 4 PVR350 cards in it (http://iptv2.trinitycommunications.net is even 
public on net) - I gotta say: The PVR350 card is hard to beat for 
usefulness and is well worth the extra bucks. The hardware MPG encoder
plus variety of outputs and code base for it is worth having.
