[ale] missing dependencies

Simple problem

Running FC3
tried to run an update as root: "yum update"

Downloaded bunches of headers, then was informed that
I am missing 28 different dependencies.

Sample:

Error: missing dep: libImath.so.2 for pkg kdegraphics
Error: missing dep: libHalf.so.2 for pkg kdebase
Error: missing dep: libgpgme.so.11(GPGME_1.0) for pkg kdepim
Error: missing dep: libIex.so.2 for pkg kdegraphics
Error: missing dep: libmad.so.0 for pkg libtunepimp


What do I have to do next.  I thought that yum would deal with
missing dependency problems.
