Hi Courtney,
Evo doesn't like your attachment? At what point does 'nothing happen'? Do you even get a file chooser to pick which file you want to attach?
I'd suggest running Evo from the command line and see if it spits out any error messages to the console.
You should probably try a evo --force-shutdown to kill the background daemons before starting it on the command line.
If that doesn't reveal any errors, try running it from strace (slow, yes, but it should reveal what is really going on in the background).
