What platform is that kernel for? i386, i686, smp, x86_64?
When a kernel can't find it's @ss on boot, it is almost always due to
missing modules or other things not compiled in (or wrong initrd). I
have that FC3 kernel on i686smp and x86_64-smp and i686 systems. The
only one that gave me any grief was the i686-smp. I got a kernel panic
can't find hd0 error. I rebooted back to the prior kernel, removed the
new one and downloaded it again. The second time it worked just fine.
