[ale] Firewire based AIT-1 tape backup

How compatible is a firewire base tape backup drive such as the LaCie AIT-1 external
firewire tape backup going to be with RHEL3?  Would it be a standard SCSI emulation
and seen as a standard tape drive?  That is what I would think but I don't know 
for sure.
