[ale] Evolution mysteries....

I've now installed 'evolution' but when I click on an email address to 
which I wish to write, I get.....

"The directory ~evolution exists but is not the Evolution directory. 
Please move it in order to allow installation of the Evolution user files."

What in the devil is going on and how is it resolved ?
