[ale] xvidtune on Xandros

I was playing with Xandros and I have a weird issue trying to run xvidtune. When I run it from an xterm I get the following error:

Xlib: connection to ":0.0" refused by server
Xlib: No protocol specified

When I ran xvidtune from an xterm on FC2 I had no problem at all.
